Psalms 53

I read Psalms 53 tonight and really found it to be a humble reminder not to let days go by without speaking to The Father, without reading his word, and without teaching my kids about this great, loving, protecting, and wonderful God.

Not to have fear, over things I haven't much control over (which is just about everything right??). God is looking out over his children, and protecting us daily. So as the New Testament says even simpler...
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:33-34)

I usually would post the Psalms53 scripture here but this time I'm not going to. When I first read it, it was out of the new american standard version, which I had a hard time following for this particular chapter.. So I read it in the NIV and then went on to confirm what I was getting out of it from a study guide. I feel like if I posted Psalms 53, I would not be encouraging any reader to give close attention to it and might misinterpret it easier. You can read both versions at biblegateway.com if you'd like to take a closer look.

Another in closing....
Luke 12:22-31
22Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 26Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

27"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
